At the Puppy Park

Thursday, October 25, 2012

One of the things that I like about Rick's condo is that there is an amazing dog park in his complex. We take the pups to the dog park usually at least once a day to walk around, sniff and do their business. Usually they get to go after we get off of work around 6 or 7, but sometimes if I have time I'll also take them down before I leave for work in the morning.

During the summertime you will sometimes find about 10 or so dogs at the park around 6 pm. Of course one woman has 6 lie! It's funny because we all joke with each other that we tend to know the other dog's names, but we really don't know, or remember, the owner's names. It feels kind of like a little dog park club as we have all started to get to know each other and look forward to catching up with each other every night.

There are actually 2 sectioned off parts to the dog park. A larger section for the larger dogs and a smaller section for the smaller dogs. I sometimes just keep my pups in the smaller section in the morning just so I don't have to run all over the place to clean up after them. Usually in the evening we put them in the larger section so they can play fetch and allow them to run around and mingle with the other dogs. They also recently put in some park benches so now we all have a place to sit. It was funny because everyone got so excited over the new park's the little things!! :)

So recently we took some videos of the pups at the park that I thought would be fun to share.

This one was from a few weeks ago. This is what we call the dogs getting the "zooms" That is when they run around in circles.

This one is of Rick trying to play catch with them. Bryn always seems to get the ball, and then Abby gets mad and starts barking (or yelling as we say) at her. Abby is a sore loser and just gets mad when things don't go her way.

This is Abby yelling at Bryn because Bryn won't play with Abby. I don't think Abby knows how to socialize with other dogs (which is probably my fault since I am her momma). She just tends to bark at the other dogs and expects them to do what she wants them to do. She is very bossy...ha! Hope you enjoyed my little vidoes of the dog park. Happy almost Friday!
