A Look Back at 2014

Happy New Year!

I still cannot believe it's 2015! I'm not going to lie though, I have been doing a lot of planning for 2015 at work, so I have actually been writing out '15 in all of my dates lately. The new year always seems to screw me up for a few weeks when it comes to writing out dates. So before we get started living out 2015, I thought I would share a quick recap of our 2014.

2014 was one of those bittersweet years. There were some amazing moments, the biggest being our wedding and our honeymoon. There were also some rough moments as well including some fall-outs with friends, multiple vet visits/surgeries (and bills!) for the puppies, some health issues and other things I can't really discuss. Rick and I were talking the other day that 2014 was a great year, but it also had it's heartaches and we are both looking forward to a fresh new year and what's to come in 2015. Hopefully all good things, but of course life isn't always a fairytale like we hope right.

{ JANUARY }

Last year we rang in the New Year with a quiet evening at home. We had a pretty rough winter, so we spent most of the next couple of months being homebodies. Wedding planning started to take over, and I did have a few of my favorite girls over for a Mary Kay Bridal Makeover Party. We also sent out our Save the Date postcards.

{ FEBRUARY }

In February I said Yes to the Dress! We also experienced a rare meteorological phenomenon...snow rolls.

June was the big month! First my girls and I celebrated with my bachelorette party. Then came the big day! We then enjoyed a little relaxation on our honeymoon trip to Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and Charleston.

4th of July was our first holiday as a married couple, and we celebrated with fireworks on the beach (the Alum Creek Beach that is). We also took a trip to the gun range for a little gun safety lesson.

{ SEPTEMBER }

September was our client's big launch, so most of the month I spent at the office getting ready for the big launch meeting. But I did celebrate my 10th work anniversary.

{ OCTOBER }

October was full of Fall fun. We went apple picking at Lynd's Fruit Farm and to the Circleville Pumpkin Festival. October was also our Engagiversary and we celebrated by going back to the spot where we got engaged. I also celebrated Halloween with my Mr. Big and with the puppies.

{ NOVEMBER }

We spent Thanksgiving at my Aunt and Uncle's house with my family this year, and then had a nice dinner with Rick's parents the following weekend. Also I briefly mentioned the other day that my brother was engaged. This happened the day after Thanksgiving and we are all really excited for Sarah to join our family. No wedding details just yet, but we are excited for another wedding in our future :)

{ DECEMBER }

In December we hosted our first Holiday Party, and also donned our holiday best at an Ugly Christmas Sweater party. We also celebrated Christmas and added a new ornament to our tree to represent our First Married Christmas.
